Localbird is a digital concierge service for vacation rental hosts. By using this service, hosts can offer curated experiences to their guests.

Challenge

Sign-up conversion rate, and Property Management System (PMS) and automating messages rates are low.

Solution

Redesigning a clear and intuitive sign-up process, emphasizing value proposition, and including PMS connection and message automation in the process.

Research

Online research was conducted to explore user behavior during sign-up processes and identify common friction points.

In addition, a PMS data research was carried, to uncover its data value to users.

Competitive Analysis

Sign-up flows from various services were viewed to identify unique and innovative, trust-building, user friendly patterns.

Additionally, vacation rental sign-up flows were reviewed to become familiar with industry-specific terminology.

  • About 80% of users are one time visitors.

  • Adding a clear and concise value proposition during the sign-up process can increase conversion rates by up to 85%.

AI was integrated to automate property information retrieval, simplifying the process.
